Comparative Income Taxation Database

The Comparative Income Taxation Database consists of yearly data on the top marginal income tax rate for a legal individual, as well as information on the threshold at which the top marginal rate applies, what law governs the taxation of incomes, and the source of this information (law or consulted literature). The sample of countries included in the data set consists of 20 countries. The time period covered for each country is 1800 (or independence) to 2010.

Comparative Inheritance Taxation Database

The Comparative Inheritance Taxation Database consists of yearly data on the top marginal inheritance tax rate for a child, as well as information on exemptions, the level from which the top marginal rate applies, what law governs the taxation of inheritances, and the source of this law. The sample of countries included in the data set consists of 19 countries. The time period covered for each country is 1800 (or independence) to 2009.
